Community Donations

CRTV is pleased to have passed recent motion regarding the award of bursaries to the following organizations.

CRTV also provides free internet service to non-profit organizations.

 



CRTV Bursaries

On the 5 February 2001 the following motion was made by CRTV Directors: “Moved by B. Henshall, seconded by G. Griffin:

THAT CRTV create an annual Bursary of $1,000 for each of two Secondary schools (Carhi and Timberline) in Campbell River, and that each Bursary be given out to needy full time Post Secondary students by SD72. CARRIED”

To date CRTV has donated $8,000 for Bursaries to local students attending Carhi and Timberline Secondary schools.

Please note that students can apply for a CRTV bursary through the School District 72’s Bursary program.

Campbell River Community Foundation (CRCF)
On the 18 September 2004 the following motion was made by CRTV Directors:

Moved by B. Henshall, seconded by S. Sinnott: THAT CRTV support the concept of the Campbell River Community Foundation through a donation of $.25 per subscriber per year in a named fund. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY”.

CRTV’s annual donation will compound and grow considerably over time with only the interest on CRTV’s donation being used to support different community non-profit organizations.

The CRCF is in partnership with the Vancouver Foundation with the simple objective of “Improving the Quality of Life in Campbell River”. For more information about CRCF go to www.crcf.crcn.net

Campbell River Food Bank & the Women's Centre
Donations from the employees of CRTV along with a matched donation by CRTV was made to the CR Food Bank and the Women’s Center in December 2004. A similar donation also occurred to the Food Bank in 2003.
